In the Path of Hurricane Dean

I have been in Valladolid, Yucatán, México for the past week - and it looks like I'll be here a week longer.

Stupidity you say? Perhaps, but legitimate. I was with the International Society of Neurochemistry Advanced School for students and postdocs as an adjunct faculty member. By the time they decided to cancel the ISN meeting that followed, it was too late for any of us get out. So, we are battening down the hatches and taking care of the students - this is a meeting they'll never forget!

See you all again when there's real Internet access again and I make it back to the states!

Be careful. Respect the danger and don't do anything foolish.

I'll be praying for you too.

thanks all - hurricane went south so we just had a bad storm. Hope to get the students back to Cancun on Wed night and when that is done I can book a flight home.

Susan, Yes, I heard last night that the mayor(?) of Cancun said he thought it was going south of you. Good to hear you and your folks are alright. Hopefully others made it through down south of you.
