It's time for finishing up; tomorrow is my last day at the post I've held for 6.5 years. I've been packing and trying to figure out what paperwork is needed at the old place and at the new. I'm afraid neither set is done properly yet. So, it's been a trying, frustrating time because of lack of communication between departments and schools. Each is upset with the other because I wasn't properly instructed and do not, therefore, have things in order as I should. It's a mess and I'm caught in the middle - not fun!
This morning though, I was reminded that this work communication issue isn't the only communication area giving me problems! It's been a hot, dusty time in my spiritual life as well. I feel as though I'm struggling to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I need the water of prayer, a visitation of the Holy Spirit to minister life to me and help me remember God's promises. I need to remember not only who I am but whose I am.

For prayer isn't getting on your knees--prayer is the elevation of the heart to God. That's all a man needs. You can pray in a prison, you can pray in an airplane, you can pray in a ship; you can pray anywhere and you can worship God, because it's Himself that we want, Himself.

Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, bu the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:26, 27

I really hope it all goes well with you Susan. I'll email as soon as I can!
Love Lorenzo
Our Father,
We pray that Your Name be hallowed, Your kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We hold up Susan Your servant. Thank You for her. We pray Your hand of blessing and help on her, today, and in the days that follow. Pour out Your Spirit on her in this dry and barren place in her life and experience.
We ask that You meet each and every one of Susan's needs. Be her Strength and Salvation. Give her peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and in her time of trouble make Yourself known to her as her Refuge and Strength, ever present through it all.
We pray for needed details to be worked out, that You would intervene and move the hearts of people to accomplish what needs to be done. And give Susan special wisdom during this time. Meet all of her needs and beyond.
Thank You for the strong support she has from Your Body at her church.
Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Through Jesus our Lord, and by the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Amen. Good prayer Ted. It is nice to be able to join in with you and pray in this way here.
We are praying for you Susan.
Blessings,
Triston
"...not only who but whose I am."
Bingo. A worthy meditation, Susan.
Amen, Ted.
Thank you all. I'm just getting ready to leave the office - working on a 15 hour day at present. However, the office is almost packed and mostly cleaned. I took the first load to the new office today and was received with smiles and open arms. So, as usual, God is good - sometimes I just forget to look!
Thanks for your prayers!
Praise the Lord, Susan.
Do keep us filled in as to how it's going on.
You shouldn't have to be working 15 hours a day Susan! It would be nice to tell them exactly where to put their job!!
It's OK, Llama. It's the old job where I'm packing and cleaning to finish moving today. I'm doing OK, just sore and tired from moving boxes and physical therapy. And it will be done, one way or the other, today.
You have our prayers, Susan. We're glad we could help you move out today, too! See you soon.
Yep - it's done, well mostly. I have a few loads of supplies to pick up still. But, the paperwork is done and my office is totally cleaned out thanks to Drew and Olivia!
