Well done Craver!
You have a good looking grandson, but you look too young to be a grandpa, Craver! Congratulations!
Congratulations, too, Craver on you becoming a grandpa (or at least I think this is your first grandchild), you folks becoming grandparents!
Aww, thanks Everybody! Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Been traveling. I'm in Florida now, staying with my parents.
Yes, this is our very first grandchild. My wife is staying with our daughter, son-in-law, and Rylan. I have the other kids with me two hours away. We washed our minivan under a palm tree.
Florida is beautiful!! I miss the chatter with you. I'll check back in later. Peace.
Craver,
While in Florida, feel free to shoot any intruders. Florida has probably the most lax laws on the matter in the nation. I think home owners can shoot people there just for being on their private property, so don't walk on to the wrong neighbor's land by mistake!
Any other ideas on "altruism" are welcome....altruism being an extremely anti-evoluationary notion, I doubt there will be many comments.
The only kind of shooting you can expect from me down here is the photographic kind. And believe it or not... that almost got me in trouble! I wanted to test a theory about using a compact camera with a telescope to capture a super-zoomed shot of the moon, and it was only slightly over the neighbor's house. I had to call them over to prove that I wasn't a peeping Tom. How embarrasing!
Oh, and the moon results didn't come out so good. It's a work in progress, but I believe the theory is sound enough to prove before long.

Craver, thou cracketh me up bro.
Craver, as Lorenzo pointed out earlier: I'm glad your neighbor didn't shoot you first and ask questions later!
If they did, they'd be in a heap of trouble, since I was outside and across the street.
We have two compact cameras on this trip. My wife's camera is up in Gainesville with some of her things. My daughter's is lost; it's driving us crazy trying to find it. In any case, I would need some thing with a little lens like that to try for that moon picture again. (sigh)
We went through a big o'l footlocker of old photos yesterday, and I tried to see if I can get copies by photographing them with my own camera. I hope they turn out okay.
We are likely to go up and visit Rylan again tomorrow.
I've tried photgraphing photgraphs before and it's really hard - the glossy paper makes it even harder. That's the way we used to make black and white slides before the days of power point! But that required special lighting to prevent shadows, etc. So I hope you have more success that what I've experiences with that technique before.
Just take more baby pictures for us!
Congratulations Craver Vii :-)
