I love the solitude and coziness of my study, especially on Saturday mornings. I'm particularly grateful to be here this morning as here is the place where I am most truly "at home", away from the externals of my life.
The holidays, though lovely, are done (yes, at some point, there will be pictures). A stressful grant deadline was met last night and now I am free, for the moment, to enjoy the solitude of my study and a huge mug of hot British tea (so says the box), complete with milk! Here, I can pick up my laptop, thanks to wireless! Here, I can pick up my Bible, read, study and write and in doing so, am most truly Susan.

congrats on finishing your grant work and happy new year!
Susan,
Glad to hear you can be most truly yourself again!
Yes, laptops are nice; I enjoy using Tiffany's when she's not using it- which means she isn't home or she's on our computer in the cold (though now not so cold) downstairs. And it's great to be in a place where one can do what they enjoy doing "at home". For me that's anywhere cozy with a book and laptop. And the book has to be related to Scripture or be Scripture- yes.
And so good that you got your grant done on time. Sorry it was so stressful. But maybe that makes the other times better. Hopefully it won't be so bad next time.
We look forward to anything you might share with us during this time of being most truly yourself.
Congratulations on completing the grant. I know that is a sword hanging over your head each grant-writing season.
Took Steph for a great meal at GO ROMA on Sunday. Highly recommended.
Milk?? Blekkthhh.
:-P
Happy New Year Susan!!
Actually British tea is usually grown in India, Sri Lanka or China!
Love Lorenzo.
Welcome home. :)
If you ever did decide to vacation in the UK you would be more than welcome to stay here for a bit.
Love Lorenzo.
But milk on top of tea! I'll have to back Craver on that. My cup of tea is a nice hot black cup of coffee. So I'll die happy, with coffee in hand. Though maybe I'll make it a slower death with decaf.
An exhale of a soft "ahhhhhhhh" follows the wonderful feeling of relief in knowing that you are done!
Congrats, dear sister!
Now, just sit back, relax, and be . . . YOU!!
Sounds very cosy!
'British tea'? be careful apparently it is the same tea that was rescued from the Boston tea party but it just had saw dust mixed with it.
Can you remember the Boston Tea party all those years ago?
